Ang Dating Daan's Bro. Eli Soriano Dead at 73

'Ang Dating Daan' leader and known televangelist Bro. Eli Soriano has passed away according to an official statement from the organization posted on social media Friday. He was 73.

“It is with deep sadness, yet with full faith in the Almighty, that we announce the passing of our beloved and one and only Bro. Eliseo ‘Eli’ Soriano — a faithful preacher, brother, father, and grandfather to many,” a post on the“Ang Dating Daan’s” Facebook page said.

The cause of his death was not mentioned.

"The life story of Bro. Eli is an open book to many of us. We are witnesses to his dedication and tireless efforts to propagate the undefiled words of God in the Bible."

The organization however assured the public that despite Soriano's demise, his programs would continue.

“While his temporary repose is a loss to many, WE in the members Church of God International, Inc., would like to assure the public that the programs and projects initiated by Bro. Eli will continue,” it added.

Soriano was a known television personality, receiving questions about the Bible via livestreaming or phone.
