AstraZeneca Vaccines Arrive in Cebu, Davao
Some 50,000 doses of AstraZeneca COVID vaccines arrived in Cebu and Davao on Wednesday, helping to sustain the rollout of jabs to frontliners there, according to official sources.
Cebu received 30,000 doses while Davao got 20,000. The vaccine supply came from the 487,200 doses from the global COVAX facility for vaccine equity.

Both regions have started inoculating majority of its health workers with Sinovac, Monday for Davao and last week for Cebu.
The new shipment containing AstraZeneca vaccines will be used to inoculate health workers over the age of 60, each region's health officials said.
As vaccines get rolled out across the country, health experts note signs of a surge in infections, as 3,000 new COVID-19 cases are being reported daily for the past few days.
