Rains to Persist as Auring Weakens Into Low Pressure Area
Tropical Depression Auring (Dujuan) weakened into a low pressure area as it approaches Bicol, PAGASA said Monday, as it warned of continuous rains. Storm wind signals were lifted.
The remnants of Auring was spotted off Rapu-Rapu, Albay, at 11 a.m. It is expected to traverse Bicol region, southern Quezon, Marinduque, and northern Mindoro in the next 24 hours, PAGASA said.
"There is an increasing likelihood of the disturbance dissipating while traversing Southern Luzon," it said.

On Monday, moderate to heavy with at times intense rains will be experienced over the Bicol Region, Quezon, Marinduque, and Romblon. There will be light to moderate with at times heavy rains over Aurora, Rizal, Laguna, Northern Samar, and the rest of Mimaropa.
On Tuesday, moderate to heavy rains are expected over Camarines Norte, Quezon, and Aurora while light to moderate with at times heavy rains are expected over Metro Manila, the rest of Calabarzon, Mimaropa, Camarines Sur, Bulacan, Nueva Ecija, Isabela, Cagayan including Babuyan Islands, and Batanes.
Auring made landfall over Batag Island on Monday morning. Before hitting land, it stirred rains that inundated large swathes of Surigao del Sur on Sunday, leaving thousands displaced.
