Bacolod BPO Records 41 COVID Cases, Prompting Disinfection

The city is under MGCQ, the lowest quarantine.

Forty-one workers of a BPO center in Bacolod tested positive for the coronavirus, prompting a disinfection of its facilities, the city's public information office said.

City officials urged BPOs to use Bacolod's proprietary contact-tracing system, BacTrac, under which all establishments are registered.

As of Feb. 1, 432,068 individuals and 8,036 establishments are registered to BacTrac, the public information office said.

Bacolod City is under the lowest quarantine, MGCQ, until the end of February. As of 4 p.m. Monday, its total COVID-19 cases stood at 5,756, of which 159 are active.
