BDO Pay Now Open for All, Here's What You Need to Know
BDO Unibank made its mobile wallet app BDO Pay available to non-clients of the Sy family's banking arm, as it seeks a share of the digital wallet space that's dominated bu GCash.
The app was previously available to BDO account holders only, and had to be synced with their BDO accounts virtually so funds can be moved or used.
“BDO Unibank has made the BDO Pay mobile app available to non-BDO clients to support the Digital Payments Transformation Roadmap of the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP), which aims to have 70% of Filipino adults to have formal financial accounts by 2023,” the bank said in a statement.
