What's Next for Bongbong Marcos? He's Running in 2022
Former senator Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr will run in the 2022 elections, his lawyer said Wednesday, after the Supreme Court trashed his electoral protest against his 2016 rival, Vice President Leni Robredo.
Marcos will make a "formal announcement" on his plans for next year's elections soon, his lawyer, Vic Rodriguez, told ANC's Headstart.
"He'll be running come 2022," Rodriguez said. Marcos had not spoken publicly since the high court, sitting as the Presidential Electoral Tribunal, ruled in favor of Robredo.

Robredo on Tuesday declined to elaborate on her 2022 plans, saying she wanted to first savor the Supreme Court's decision. Marcos' protest ran for five years and gave fodder to her critics on social media.
According to a Nov. 23 to Dec. 2, Pulse Asia survey, Marcos was statistically tied in second place with three others if presidential elections were geld during the survey period. President Rodrigo Duterte's Daughter, Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte-Caprio topped the poll.
Marcos was tied with Sen. Grace Poe, Manila Mayor Isko Moreno and Sen. Manny Pacquiao.
