President-elect Bongbong Marcos said he would continue filming vlogs even as he becomes the highest-ranking government official in the country, as these would provide him an avenue to personally explain his administration's programs and policies.

Responding to comments from his supporters, Marcos said he and his team have decided to keep posting vlogs on his social media accounts during his presidency where Filipinos can express their concerns and suggestions to his administration.

"Kailangan ko talagang ipaliwanag kung ano yung aming mga ginagawa. Ipaalam sa inyo kung ano ba sa inyong palagay ang tama na dapat gawin at kung ano pa, at marinig ang inyong comment kung ano pa ang mga kakulangan na dapat tugunan," he said in a vlog released on Saturday.

"Kaya't ipapagpatuloy talaga namin yang vlog na yan," he added.

Marcos said his vlogs will also serve as another source of information about the government's actions aside from the traditional news media.

"Kapag meron tayong paliwanag doon sa ating mga ginagawa, para hindi lamang sa mga pahayagan ang inyong nagiging balita kundi pati na from the horse's mouth ika nga," he added.

Even before he ran for president in the May 9 elections, Marcos has regularly released vlog posts on his social media accounts, the topics of which range from his activities as a former public official, informational discussions about how the government works, and even personal talks about himself and his family.

Marcos' press secretary-designate Trixie Cruz-Angeles earlier said that acrediting vloggers to cover Malacañang press briefings is a "priority" for the incoming team of the Presidential Communications Operations Office.
