Clarita Carlos is Marcos' National Security Adviser
President-elect Bongbong Marcos has tapped retired political science professor Clarita Carlos as National Security Adviser, with ABONO party-list Rep. Conrado Estrella III as agrarian reform secretary, his office said Wednesday.
Carlos and Estrella met with Marcos in a nearly two-hour meeting at his campaign headquarters in Mandaluyong City after the two accepted their respective offers to be part of the incoming administration's cabinet, according to the BBM Media Bureau.

Carlos, who served as president of the National Defense College of the Philippines, was one of the panel members during the presidential debate organized by SMNI attended by Marcos
Estrella, on the other hand, is a deputy speaker at the House of Representatives who represents agricultural workers.
Carlos and Estrella are the most recent additions to the Cabinet being formed by Marcos who will formally assume as president on June 30.
Other members of his Cabinet include vice president-elect Sara Duterte as education secretary, Erwin Tulfo as social welfare secretary, Benhur Abalos as interior secretary, Benjamin Diokno as finance secretary, and Arsenio Balisacan as socioeconomic planning secretary.
