Comelec Extends Voter Registration Hours, Including Holidays
The Commission on Elections on Sunday extended voter registration hours starting Monday in to entice more people to sign up for the 2022 elections, which will push through during the pandemic.
Earlier in February, the Comelec said it was behind their target of four million new registered voters. This led to the commission opening officees on Saturdays to accept applicants.

All Offices of the Election Officer nationwide will now operate from Tuesdays to Saturdays, including holidays, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Disinfection day for the offices was moved from Fridays to Mondays, on top of daily disinfection measures.
However, if the local government unit prescribes another day for disinfection, the OEO will observe the directed day along with the Monday schedule.
During disinfection days, all Comelec offices will be closed but may reached via e-mail and social media channels.
