President Rodrigo Duterte on Monday accused Vice President Leni Robredo of making it appear that he had gotten vaccinated for COVID-19 ahead of the official rollout of the jabs earlier in the day.
Duterte said this was the reason why Robredo had repeatedly asked him to get vaccinated in public. The President on Sunday received the first batch of vaccines courtesy of China's Sinovac. On his vaccination, the President said he would defer to his doctors.
"Salita ka nang salita ka, wala ka naman ginagawa," Duterte said. "You seem to have an angel face but devilish mind."
Duterte dared Robredo to procure vaccines for the country. "Kunin mo basket mo, mamalengke ka ng bakuna."
"You want to be relevant. Sometimes you make an idiotic stance," he said.
