Duterte Interviews Marcoleta, Belgica on Senate Plans if Elected
President Rodrigo Duterte is taking on a new role -- that of a talk show host -- as he interviews his Senate picks for the May 9 elections.
Government broadcaster PTV on Thursday aired a preview of Duterte's one-on-one interviews with senatorial candidates Greco Belgica and Rodante Marcoleta.
The interview is part of "The Chatroom" which will be aired on Saturday at 8 p.m. on PTV.

Some questions that the President asked of his Senate bets are what laws would they pursue should they win in the upcoming elections, and what policies do they think are meaningful.
Belgica headed Duterte's anti-corruption commission while Marcoleta was among the lawmakers who voted to deny ABS-CBN of a new franchise in 2020.
In a campaign rally last month, Marcoleta told voters that he shut ABS-CBN without fear, adding it was for the public good.
