Duterte Spokesman Harry Roque Says He's Now COVID-Free

Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque said Thursday he tested negative for COVID-19, more than a week since he was infected.

Roque said he obtained his certificate of quarantine after testing negative for COVID-19.

"Bago ka po mabigyan ng certificate of quarantine eh dapat meron ka na rin negative [RT]-PCR result. So, nag-negative na po ako sa PCR result,” Roque said in a virtual Palace press briefing.

In a Facebook post, Roque said he would resume his daily briefings in Malacañang next week.

Roque added that he thinks he got the virus during one of his hospital visits and would limit doing so in the future.

"Ngayon po, kung talagang hindi kinakailangan pumunta sa ospital hindi na po ako tatapak sa ospital,” he said.

Roque has been known to go around the country to check on the implementation of COVID-19 protocols.
