GCash reassured its millions of users that their funds are safe, following an unscheduled downtime Monday that left the mobile wallet app inaccessible to some users.
Some users on Android phones were able to access the app after a certain period, but were once again greeted with a maintenance advisory some time later. Up until last night, the app was unavailable to several users.
"We would like to inform you that we have restored our services. We apologize for the temporary downtime earlier today, June 28, 2021. Rest assured that your funds are safe," GCash said in an advisory.
Users were advised to restart their phones to avoid any issues.
