GUIDE: GCash Bills Payment, Service Fees as of July 2022

Mobile wallet GCash has enabled cashless and digital transactions throughout the pandemic, and will continue to do so as the country eases into the new normal, but with additional service fees for select transactions.

Not every single payment on the app requires a fee. You can still send money to another GCash user for free and top up via a linked bank account at no extra charge. 

Below, we list down the transactions that come with service fees so you can plan ahead.

Take note of these GCash service fees when transferring money or paying bills:

Bills payment

Electricity payments to Meralco and water bill payments for Maynilad and Manila Water remain free.

Bank transfers

Cashing in your GCash account with credits is free via banks like BPI which let you link your bank account to your GCash account for easy top-up. Transferring GCash credits to your bank is a different story.

Each transfer from GCash to a bank will incur a P15 service fee.

Card payments

Credit card payment fees via GCash were waived starting 2020 at the onset of the pandemic but were reimplemented some time in July.

Any payments made to banks now will have an added fee of P10 per transaction, regardless of the amount, card type, or bank.
