Gyms, Spas, Internet Cafes in Metro Manila Closed During Bubble

No lifting, pampering until April 4.

Gyms, spas and internet cafes in Metro Manila will be closed throughout the NCR Plus bubble period that will last until April 4, mayors said Tuesday.

All 17 mayors of the capital region and the MMDA agreed to enforce the restriction as an additional measure to stop the surge in COVID-19 cases.

The closure of such establishments depends on local government officials. The NCR Plus bubble bans public gatherings and limits travel to essentials.

On Tuesday, the Department of Health reported 5,867 new infections after a record high of over 8,000 the day before.

The NCR Plus bubble also includes Bulacan, Laguna, Rizal and Cavite.
