The government unveiled on Friday the giant cutterhead that will be used to dig the Mega Manila Subway tunnels and Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque took the opportunity to address his principal's critics: "Manigas kayong lahat."

Roque spoke during the program and said President Rodrigo Duterte would be remembered for heralding the "renaissance" in Philippine infrastructure development. The subway is one of the centerpiece projects of Duterte's "Build, Build, Build."

Duterte "has many critics and they will not stop until they regain power."

"But Presidents will come and go, but in the annals of Philippine history, President Rodrigo Roa Duterte will be remembred for the renaissance of infrastructure, for beating COVID-19 and of course, for all the social legislation he shepherded including the Universal Health Care Act and free tuition in state colleges and universities," he said.

"To his critics, I have only this to say: Manigas kayong lahat," he said.
