- Authorities survey the aftermath of Typhoon Quinta (Molave), which inundated vast swaths of the Bicol and Southern Luzon regions.

- Four-star and five-star hotels in Metro Manila can operate at full capacity while El Nido is expanding its tourism bubble.
- More women are following real-life Darna, Angel Locsin's lead. They are wearing red lipstick to protest Lt. Gen. Antonio Parlade's aggressive social media campaign against communism. Cavite Gov. Jonvic Remulla said Parlade should stop it.
- Lawmakers want to split Maguindanao province into two political entities, calling the southern strife-hardened province too big.
