Heads up on what's happening on Monday, Oct. 26:

  • Bring your rain gear when going to work or running errands today. Tropical Storm Quinta is traversing Luzon. If you live in a flood-prone area, take the necessary precautions.It's the last week of current quarantine classifications.
  • President Rodrigo Duterte is due to deliver his weekly address to the nation tonight. Tune in to Reportr for live coverage. Follow us on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
  • Rabiya Mateo of Iloilo wins Miss Universe-Philippines in a strictly-physical distancing pageant that highlighted pageantry's shift to a more Gen Z mindset -- finding inner peace to contribute to society.
  • Defense Secretary Delfin Lorenzana said he told Lt. Gen. Antonio Parlade to stop linking celebrities to lefist groups without evidence. Parlade drew criticism for warning actress Liza Soberano about her dealings with women's group Gabriela.
  • Take note that Parlade heads a government body against the communist rebellion. His comments, deemed "red-tagging" by critics, sparked a social media protest that saw people putting on red lipstick.
  • We are also monitoring the number of COVID-19 cases. Over the weekend, actress Alex Gonzaga said she and her household contracted the disease and documented their recovery in a video blog.
