Roque Live Presscon Cut Short Due to 'Dicey' Internet
Palace spokesperson Harry Roque cut short his daily press conference Thursday, blaming it on "dicey" internet connection.
Roque apologized to the media after he was cut off with the moderator, Communications Usec. Rocky Ignacio.
"Naku sambayanang Pilipino, sana nga po magsimula na ang third provider because even a presidential press briefing cannot proceed unhampered because of dicey internet connection," he said.
He invited the National Telecommunications Commission to the next briefing scheduled on Monday "so that we will at least ensure that the presidential press briefing, which I think is very important to the nation, can be broadcasted unhampered."
In July, a Senate committee hearing into the status of internet service in the country was suspended due to internet woes. Committee chair Sen. Grace Poe said that hearing was the "worst."
