Jose Mari Chan to Produce Christmas Music for Ayala Garden Lights

Christmas crooner Jose Mari Chan emerged from hibernation ahead of the 'ber' months as the producer of the holiday medley for Ayala Land and Make It Makati's Festival of Lights: Virtual Edition, the developer said.

This means that for the 2021 holidays, there will be something new from Chan, whose "Christmas In Our Hearts" is the Philippines' unisputed yuletide theme song.

"The Festival of Lights is an event that people look forward to every year. I remember around three years ago when I was invited to perform right here at Ayala Triangle Gardens. I am glad that I was invited to be part of this festival that everyone looks forward to," Chan said.

The Ayala Triangle gardens in Makati City are adorned with lights every November until early January, with a night visit becoming a Christmas staple for many Filipino over the years. The 2020 edition of the light show recreated the venue complete with animation and songs to spread the holiday cheer to those stuck at home to prevent possible COVID-19 infections.

"It was an experience that families were able to share together even when they were apart. We hope that this year’s light show will continue to bring the same joy and meaning to you and your loved ones," said Shiella Agular, Project Development Head of Makati Estate for Ayala Land.

Ayala Land is hosting the annual event virtually again this November in partnership with Globe Studios led by director Quark Henares.
