Has Robredo 'Withdrawn' Yet? 'Chill Lang, Mahaba Pila,' Leni Jokes

Presidential candidate Leni Robredo on Sunday shared a light moment with a netizen who asked how much she had "withdrawn" from the bank, attempting to humor the vice president after a rival who is behind her in the surveys asked her to withdraw from the race.

Robredo shared photos on her personal Facebook account of her lunch meetup with Sumilao farmers in Naga, Camarines Sur, where she spent Easter Sunday with her three daughters.

Around the same time, Manila Mayor Isko Moreno joined Sen. Panfilo Lacson and former Defense Sec. Norberto Gonzales appeared in a press conference, wherein he urged Robredo to withdraw from the presidential race.

Netizen Ruru Barrios commented on Robredo's post asking: "VP, magkano po na-withdraw nyo today sa ATM?" in an apparent reference to the call for her to withdraw.

"Chill lang. Mahaba pa pila. Choz," the vice president replied, drawing over 27,000 laugh reactions from other netizens.

Moreno's call for Robredo to withdraw came as the vice president's voter preference surged to to 24% with an increase of 9 percentage points in the March 2022 Pulse Asia survey, placing second to Bongbong Marcos with 56%.

Moreno and Lacson came in third and fifth places, respectively, in the same survey with 8% and 2% voter preference, with Gonzales ranking last among the 10 candidates with 0%.
