'Nanaig 'Yung Katotohanan': Robredo on SC Trashing Marcos Protest
Vice President Leni Robredo said Tuesday the truth prevailed after the Supreme Court junked the election protest of her 2016 rival, former senator Bongbong Marcos that cast doubts on her legitimacy for five years.
The Supreme Court, sitting as the Presidential Electoral Tribunal, said Tuesday the poll protest of Marcos was unanimously dismissed, cementing Robredo's 2016 victory in effect.
"Nagpapasalamat tayo na halos limang taon na yung nakalipas, ngayong araw nanaig yung katotohanan...Naitaguyod natin yung tunay na pasya noong 2016 elections," Robredo said in her press conference.
"The affirmation that we received from the PET today will allow us to focus on the more important work," she added.

Robredo, who has become a favorite target of trolls online, thanked the PET for their "fairness and resolve."
"Mula naman umpisa, kahit na mayroong electoral protest, we have not allowed that to distract us from the more important work of serving the people," she said.
"Hindi lang ito tagumpay ko, hindi lang ito tagumpay ng aming team, tagumpay ito nating lahat."
Any message to Marcos? "Wala na siguro," Robredo said, triggering laughs from attendees of her press conference.
With her 2016 victory affirmed, Robredo urged everyone to "move forward together" given the challenges faced by the Philippines.
"Let us move forward together. Maraming pinagdadaanan yung bansa natin ngayon...Isantabi muna natin yung mga sama ng loob, yung mga di pagkakaintindihan, isantabi muna natin yung mga away dahil maraming umaasa sa atin," she said.
