Mandaluyong and Muntinlupa have lifted their respective liquor bans with a reminder to residents that the prohibition could be reimposed should COVID-19 infections spike, authorities said.
In Muntinlupa, sale of alcoholic products is limited to the 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. window, according to an official advisory. Before the two cities lifted the liquor ban, tens of thousands of adults couldn't buy spirits for over a month, since the imposition of strict quarantines.
Residents also can't mix with other households when drinking, officials said.
The sale of alcohol in dining establishments is limited to two bottles of beer, two glasses of hard drinks, and two glasses of wine and whiskey.
