Liza Soberano on 'Tililing' Movie Poster: Mental Health is Not a Joke
Actress Liza Soberano has joined concerned netizens on Monday in calling out an upcoming movie for its poster that appeared to make light of mental health issues.
On Twitter, where the teaser of movie "Tililing" trended Sunday night, Soberano said "Mental Health is NOT a joke", reacting to the poster where the movie's lead stars are seen sticking out their tongues.
“Really hoping that this movie will spread awareness and enlighten us on the struggles of dealing with mental health. But the poster? It’s a no for me,” she tweeted.
In response, creator Darryl Yap urged Soberano through a Facebook post to give his movie a chance. Watching the movie herself should clear up any misunderstanding, he said, assuring the actress she won't be left disappointed.

"Ang aking mga artista sa pelikulang ito ay nagdaan sa mga pagsubok na nagpatatag din sa kanilang kalusugang pangkaisipan, sigurado kaming hindi nila tatanggapin ang isang proyektong ikapapahamak ng kanilang prinsipyo at pagkatao; Matatalino ang aking mga artista, at matapang ang kanilang direktor," Yap said.
This is not the first time Yap was a subject of contempt on both Twitter and Facebook, as his previous works through his page VinCentiments, have been criticized before, one time for "unfairly blaming teachers" for the difficulties experienced by students in the online learning setup.
