Supporters of Vice President Leni Robredo marched on the Shibuya Crossing in Tokyo, Japan to support her presidential campaign and encourage fellow Filipinos abroad to vote.

Some 300 Filipinos wearing pink, Robredo's campaign color, participated in Saturday's march, which coincided with the Day of Valor, a national holiday in the Philippines.

Team Leni Robredo Global Japan said it hoped to help build more momentum for Robredo, who gained 9 points in Pulse Asia's March 17 to 21 poll to 24% versus 56% for rival Bongbong Marcos, who dropped four points.

Such events are rare on Shibuya Crossing, of of the most popular spots in the Japanese capital, said the group, which secured a police permit.

Also on Saturday, Robredo's supporters in Pampanga mounted her largest campaign rally so far, with the crowd peaking at 220,000, organizers said.
