LTO Extends Driver’s License Validity for 17-21 Age Group, Seniors until Dec. 31

Driver’s licenses, student permits, and conductor’s licenses of those aged 17 to 21, and 60 to 65 that expired while they were restricted to go out, will be considered valid until the end of the year, the Land Transportation Office said in an advisory.

The extension only covers the restriction period set by the government’s inter-agency task force on pandemic response, the LTO said as it noted that expiring licenses and permits need to be renewed.

Teens and senior citizens were barred from leaving their homes until last week, when the government eased movement restrictions for those aged 15 to 65.

 The LTO said it has also resumed services for clients aged 17 to 21 and 60 to 65 after the government’s easing of restrictions.
