Magnitude 5.4 Earthquake Jolts Davao Oriental
A Magnitude 5.4 earthquake jolted a Davao Oriental town on Sunday morning, Phivolcs said as it warned of possible aftershocks and damage.
The earthquake struck 37 kilometers south of Governor Generoso town at 8:09 a.m. It has a depth of 42 kilometers and was tectonic in origin.
The following intensities were recorded:
Intensity V - Strong: Generally felt by most people outdoors and indoors
- Governor Generoso, Davao Oriental
Intensity IV -Moderately Strong: Felt generally by people indoors and by some people outdoors
- Mati City, Davao Oriental
Intensity III - Weak: Felt by many people indoors especially on upper floors of buildings
- Tampakan, South Cotabato
- Tupi, South Cotabato
Intensity II - Slightly Felt: Felt by few individuals at rest indoors. Hanging objects swing slightly
- Davao City

- Kiamba, Sarangani
Intensity I - Scarcely Perceptible: Perceptible to people under favorable circumstances
