Relief for Manila's Sta. Ana Hospital as All COVID-Positive Staff Recover

One of Manila City's district hospitals on Friday reported a 100% recovery rate for its COVID-affected healthcare workers, a welcome development for critical care capacity as the country begins its seventh month under quarantine without a vaccine.

Sta. Ana Hospital Director Dr. Grace Padilla said "We are following strict hospital infection protocols, strict social distancing rules and proper hospital cohorting. Terminal cleaning and disinfection of Manila infectious Disease Control Center is also completed to all areas making the Hospital a safe workplace,"

They will continue to conduct mandatory swab tests for its staff and healthcare workers.

The hospital also assured the public that all staff monitor their health daily even as everyone has recovered to ensure that any possible cases can be addressed immediately.

"We had zero COVID-19 cases among our healthcare workers for the past two weeks already. However, this small victory shouldn’t make us stop from intensifying our efforts in fighting COVID-19 inside and outside the premises of Sta. Ana Hospital," Padilla said.
