Everyone Will Want to Move to Vico-Landia After Latest Survey
Pasig City Mayor Vico Sotto is still the gold standard for COVID-19 response among local government chiefs in Metro Manila.
In an opinion survey conducted by RLR Research & Analysis Inc from May 14 to June 2, the 31-year-old public servant got the highest satisfaction rating with 97 percent. The results were released on the day he told his staff to hold off plans to suprise him for his birthday.
Marikina Mayor Marcy Teodoro was a close second with 95, followed by Ike Ponce of Pateros (94%). Manila's Isko Moreno (92%), Valenzuela's Rex Gatchalian (92%), and Mandaluyong Menchie Abalos (90%) complete the Top 6 leaders in the list. The mayors of Muntinlupa, San Juan, and Caloocan each scored at least 80 percent.
Meanwhile, Las Piñas Mayor Mel Aguilar and Quezon City Mayor Joy Belmonte found themselves on the wrong end of the survey with 46 and 47 percent, respectively. The rest of the Bottom 5 — Len Len Oreta of Malabon (52%), Emi Calixto-Rubiano of Pasay (68%), Abby Binay-Campos of Makati (69%) — were only slightly better.
According to RLR, "Results are based from satisfaction ratings of respondents residing in the respective cities and municipalities that form he total sample size of n=1,275 (+/- 2.7% Error Margin)."
As we were writing this, Vico just raised P1.2 billion for the purchase of tablets, laptops, and other learning devices for public school students and teachers. No wonder.
