Mayor Vico Doubles Pasig Health Workers' Salaries
Mayor Vico Sotto said he doubled the salaries of Pasig City's 314 barangay health workers in recognition of their work that has become more important during the COVID-19 pandemic.
The monthly pay of the Pasig Health Aides will be increased to P12,000 from P5,000. Retirees will also receive a "separation pay" of P10,000 per year of service, Sotto said.
"The barangay health centers and its staff are key here. Our health center personnel have a heavy duty, and their responsibilities will be increased. So they shouldn't be underpaid," he said.
