Megaworld Cinemas Will Reopen on Nov. 10
Megaworld said Wednesday its cinemas in Metro Manila would reopen Nov. 10, welcoming move fans for the first time in nearly two years.
"Some things are worth the wait! Crystal-clear big screens, crisp surround sound and comfy reclining seats are now back waiting for you at Megaworld Cinemas," the company said in a Facebook post.
Under Alert Level 3, movie houses can operate for a maximum of 30% capacity for fully vaccinated individuals. Viewers should be at least one seat apart.
Cinemas must also have proper ventilation system and an air purifier system.
The Cinema Exhibitors Association of the Philippines said the reopening will help more than 300,000 theater workers. Details are yet to be finalized, but masks must stay on for the duration of the film to keep viewers and staff safe. This means no popcorn, drinks, and other snacks.
