Faster MRT Resumes Dec. 1 After Maintenance
MRT-3 operations resumed Tuesday after scheduled maintenance over the weekend. The train line is expected to run even faster in the coming days, after months of steady speed increases.
The three-day suspension of trips was to make way for the fixing of turnouts at the Taft Avenue station, which was meant to secure a safe shift to faster speeds in December.
At present, the trains on the MRT-3 main line run at 50 kilometers per hour, and it is expected to run at 60 kilometers per hour before the year ends.
