One More Term: Vico Sotto Seeks Reelection as Pasig Mayor
(UPDATE) Pasig City Mayor Vico Sotto on Friday filed his certificate of candidacy for reelection, seeking a fresh mandate for his transformative leadership that resonates with the youth.
The 32-year-old Sotto was accompanied by his parents, actors and TV hosts Vic Sotto and Coney Reyes.
"Ang aasahan n'yo naman po sa akin, ang mga taong nakakakilala sa akin, alam po na uunahin ko palagi ang trabaho," Sotto said in an ambush interview with the media.
Also present was his running mate, former Pasig Rep. Dodot Jaworski Jr.
"This man right here, Mayor Vico, has shown a bright light of an example of what a true public servant should be," Jaworski said on why he's coming out of political hiatus.
Sotto in 2019 toppled the Eusebio dynasty in Pasig, bringing in a new brand of politics that appealed to millennials and Gen Z.
