The first lockdown weekend of August will likely be wet as four tropical cyclones outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility enhance the southwest monsoon or habagat, PAGASA said Friday.

Metro Manila will experience cloudy skies with isolated rains and thunderstorms until Monday, as these weather disturbances stir monsoon rains, weather specialist Aldczar Aurelio said.

Tropical Storm Lupit, located 580 kilometers northwest of Itbayat, Batanes at 4 a.m. Friday, could enter PAR as it makes its way to China, weather forecaster Ariel Rojas told TeleRadyo.

At 4 a.m., Tropical Storm  Gorio (Mirinae) was spotted 1,795 km northeast of extreme northern Luzon. Tropical Storm Nida was located 3,045 km northeast of extreme northern Luzon.

Another tropical depression, located 1,795 km northeast of extreme northern Luzon, will also intensify monsoon rains, said Aurelio.

The habagat will also bring light to moderate with at times heavy rains over these areas in the next 24 hours from Friday morning:
