The Contact Tracing Network Consortium Agreement of the 4 cities was a collaboration among Pasig City Mayor Vico Sotto, Valenzuela City Mayor Rex Gatchalian, Antipolo City Mayor Andrea Ynares, and Mandaluyong City Mayor Menchie Abalos.
The interlinking of the systems means that any QR code from PasigPass, ValTrace, Antipolo Bantay COVID-19, and MandaTrack, can be used in any of the four cities.
If you're from another city, signing up for one of the four automatically registers you for the three other cities' contact tracing databases. This eliminates the need to have additional apps or accounts for contact tracing, along with the time take to fill out manual forms.
Though the agreement only covers 4 cities, it could soon include more cities, municipalities, and provinces. Gatchalian hoped this would be a step towards a centralized QR code-based contact tracing system for the entire country.
