Pedicab Drivers, Delivery Riders Get Free Jabs From Robredo's Vaccine Express
Vice President Leni Robredo launched on Tuesday the Vaccine Express initiative in Manila, where pedicab and tricycle drivers, and delivery riders from the capital city can get vaccinated against COVID-19.
The Office of the Vice President partnered with the City Government of Manila and Angat Buhay partners for the project to bring the vaccination to some economic frontliners, or those under the A4 category, on June 22 and 23.
Robredo said TODA drivers and delivery riders were given P500 gas cards courtesy of SEAOIL to convince them to get vaccinated. In three hours, about 900 drivers were vaccinated.
Robredo and Manila Mayor Isko Moreno visited the vaccine express at the CCP Complex Grounds on Tuesday.
"Natutuwa kaming mga taga-Maynila kasi isa kami sa nagbenepisyo sa programa ninyo na vaccination on wheels," Domagoso told Robredo in a Facebook Live interview.
Robredo said the OVP would vaccinate vendors in Manila next.
