Petron Sorry for Traffic Jams Caused by Fuel Discount

Petron Corp apologized on Tuesday for traffic jams caused by its fuel discount promo as queues of vehicles blocked some roads in parts of the country.

Heavy traffic was reported in several areas as Petron offered a 50% discount on all of its fuels from 11 a.m to 1 p.m. in select gas stations.

Petron said it recognized that the promo "caused some inconvenience due to heavy traffic."

“We sincerely apologize and have taken note of all of your feedback and suggestions,” it said in a statement.

Petron became a trending topic on Twitter because of the heavy traffic.
