Robredo Goes on Self-Quarantine After Exposure to COVID Patient
Vice President Leni Robredo said she was feeling fine after "very close contact" with a COVID-19 patient prompted her to go on self-quaratine last weekend.
Robredo said she was not feeling any symptoms of the disease as she admitted that it's difficult to avoid close contact with people whenever she visits communities.
"Ano naman, mula pa noong March talagang inaasikaso nating magpalakas ng immune system. Pero hindi talaga maiiwasan, talagang dahil bumababa kami sa communities, hindi talaga naiiwasan na maging close contact," she said in her weekly radio show. "Wala namang may gusto nito pero susunod tayo. Susunod tayo sa mga protocols."
Robredo first revealed that she was undergoing self-quarantine in a Facebook post late Saturday. The vice president said she and her chief of staff would isolate themselves until they get tested for the virus. She learned of her exposure to a COVID-19 patient on Friday.
"Tuloy-tuloy lang po kahit naka-quarantine pa kami. Tuloy-tuloy lang iyong mga activities pero lahat muna Zoom until ma-clear na po kami," Robredo said.
