Power Plant Cinema Reopens Nov. 10
Power Plant Cinema on Tuesday said it would reopen theaters on Nov. 10 as Metro Manila welcomes movie-goers for the first time in 19 months under the less strict Alert Level 3.
"We know you missed the big screen and the best seats. Power Plant Cinema is reopening its doors to give you the same experience you loved, made safer," the cinema said in a Facebook post.
According to Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque, movie houses can operate for a maximum of 30% capacity for fully vaccinated individuals. Viewers should be at least one seat apart.
Cinemas must also have proper ventilation system and an air purifier system.
The Cinema Exhibitors Association of the Philippines said the reopening will help more than 300,000 theater workers. Details are yet to be finalized, but masks must stay on for the duration of the film to keep viewers and staff safe. This means no popcorn, drinks, and other snacks.
