San Miguel Boss Ramon Ang Says He Got COVID Thrice

It was a trying 2020 for RSA.

San Miguel Boss Ramon Ang said Wednesday he got COVID-19 thrice in 2020, a trying year that also saw the death of his son, Jomar.

Ang made the revelation in an online forum of the country's top tycoons including Manuel Pangilinan, Enrique Razon and Jaime Zobel de Ayala. The event was organized by the Department of Finance.

"Ang natutunan natin ho maging humble. For the first time in my life I experenced yung mga masasakit na pangayayari noong 2020. Namatayan po ako ng anak at tatlong beses po ako tinamaan ng COVID-19," he said.

"Despite of that, tuloy tuloy pa din tayong nagtatrabaho concentrating to produce more food, para hindi maubusan ng pagkain ang mga kababayan natin," he said.

The San Miguel boss also discussed the successful opening of the Skyway Stage 3 and the construction of the Bulacan airport.

"Madami din tayong tinulungan na mahihirap para hindi magutom. Nagtayo din tayo ng mga laboratory, PCR testing... Hindi tayo naging madamot sa pagtulong sa mga nangangailangan," he said.

"Sa negosyo naman ho, nahirapan ho kami, madami ho talagang paghihirap ang negosyo, pero sa ganunpaman dahil sa maayos naman natin pinapatakbo ang negsyo namin maganda naman kinalabasan," he said.
