Your Favorite Tagaytay Dining Spots May be Open by June 16
If you live in Cavite and other nearby areas that are to be placed in MGCQ (modified general community quarantine), you may dine in some of your favorite restaurants beginning June 16. According to a report on Rappler, some restaurants have begun preparations for dine-in operations. Under MGCQ, restaurants in the area are allowed to reopen with only 50% seating capacity.
One of the restaurants reopening after 90 days of community quarantine is Sonya’s Garden located in Barangay Buck Estate. In an interview with Robert Hernandez, head of restaurant operations, he said that Sonya’s Garden will open its biggest dining venue but will only accommodate a maximum of 200 guests, with tables one meter apart.
According to Hernandez, their “food will be served buffet style to lessen contact with restaurant crew. Payment system will be via online transactions. We will release our guidelines on how to pay and make reservations.”
Most of businesses in Tagaytay have also resumed business operations after a three-month closure because of the COVID-19 pandemic. Alfonso Mayor Randy Salamat and Acting Police chief Major Ernesto Caparas will be in charge of inspection of establishments to ensure that everyone is complying with IATF guidelines.
