Due to the influx of SSS members applying for the Small Business Wage Subsidy (SBWS), the SSS website has gone on “downtime” on April 18, and continues to experience disruptions until today, April 23.

In a previous notice, SSS announced that it will be “sending out emails for alternative application arrangements to SBWS-eligible employers.” On April 23, it has also posted updates regarding pre-qualifying for SBWS, as well as contact details for queries:

As the department has been running with minimal staff, however, there have been delays with application processing, and many small business owners have taken to the SSS Facebook page to report that they have yet to receive updates. Moreover, regular employees and members applying for loans are also unable to access their accounts.

SSS Vice President Fernando Nicolas addressed the issue through a message he sent to Senator Joel Villaneuva, which the latter later tweeted: “Regarding the system downtime, we are working round the clock and consolidating our resources to restore the functionality of the website and My.SSS facility.”
