VIRAL: Foodpanda Riders Pranked in Manila Delivery
Around 16 riders of delivery app foodpanda appeared to have been pranked Wednesday after they brought food at the same time to the same address in Manila. A photo of the incident immediately went viral on Facebook.
The resident of the pinned address, Rome Vladimir Agito Cuevas, posted the viral photo. He said the deliveries were worth between P1,700 to P1,900 and were ordered for cash on delivery.
Asked if he felt that he was the target of the prank, Cuevas told reportr: "Parang ganon na nga." His original post got 838 likes and 555 shares and thousands more after it was shared by news accounts.
According to receipts shown by the riders, orders came from two users bearing the name of "Triple X" and "Keisha Ann Bernabe".
"Nagulat din talaga yung mga riders. Pero hindi naman nagalit samin. Kami din nagulat kasi nga wala naman kaming order ni isa," he said.
Here is a sample order form shown by one of the riders to Cuevas.

Cuevas said he paid for at least four of the deliveries. Others were shouldered by some of their neighbors, while the rest of the riders left on their own.
"Ibebenta yata somewhere," he said.
Reportr reached out to a representative from foodpanda for a comment who said they will look into the matter. Rest assured, they said, the company got riders covered in case of order cancellations or no-show customers. They can always apply for a refund.
Back in November, over a hundred Foodpanda riders trooped to the Department of Labor to protest what they claimed were unfair practices of the food delivery platform that diminished their pay.
