Classes in Public Schools Suspended May 2-13 for Election Activities
Classes at all levels in public schools nationwide are suspended from May 2 to 13 to give way to election-related activities, the Department of Education said Monday.
The suspension is meant to prepare schools, which will serve as polling precincts, for the May 9 elections that will decide the fate of 109 million Filipinos.
"Walang pasok ang mga mag-aaral sa lahat ng antas sa mga pampublikong paaralan mula May 2-13, 2022," the DepEd said.
During the class suspension, teachers are still required to report to schools even if they have no election-related activities according to DepEd.
"Ang mga guro ay inaasahan pa ring mag-report sa kanilang paaralan sa mga araw na walang election-related duties o activities," it added.
