WATCH: Kris Aquino Shares PNoy's Last Moments Before Cremation
Kris Aquino on Monday posted a video of the moments leading up to the cremation of former President Benigno "Noynoy" Aquino III to her millions of Instagram followers, saying the public deserved a glimpse of what transpired after her only brother died last week.
The public never got to see Noynoy Aquino in his casket, unlike their mother, the actress and TV host said, adding her own media team documented the three-day mourning and burial for the family archives.
“Here are moments you did not see because no cameras were allowed inside Heritage before our brother’s cremation and during the private viewing,” said Kris, once considered the Philippines' "Queen of All Media".
Kris said she could only pray that her brother would give her a clear sign once he is "ready" for her to tell the country "our story." For now, she said she would keep silent.
“Until then this bunso has learned her lessons and will stay silent,” she said.
Kris said there was so much that she wanted to share of their journey as siblings, noting how "profoundly the experience" has changed her.
In 2018, she admitted that her relationship with her brother was strained, although she did not say for what reason. She said they made up before he died.
"BUT the TRUTH is- IG [Instagram] is the venue where our “feud” started so in my heart I know it’s also not where I should share kung paano nagsimula ang unang mga hakbang para lumambot na ang puso nya, at lahat ng paraan na ginawa ko para mapangiti lang sya," she said.
During the burial, it was Kris who placed the former president's remains inside the tomb, reuniting him with their parents, democracy icons Cory and Ninoy.
