The Philippines is battered by an average of 20 tropical cyclones yearly and to establish easier recall, state weather bureau PAGASA gives storms Filipino-sounding names.
The names, curated alphabetically, are reused every four years. This means that names that will be used this 2021 will be repeated in 2025, 2029, and 2033.
