ABS-CBN journalist Doris Bigornia suffered a heart attack and is slated for open heart surgery, her co-host on SRO Teleradyo, Alvin Elchico said Tuesday..
Bigornia is under intensive care after suffering from the heart attack on Sunday, Elchico said at the start of their nightly talk program.
Elchico said Bigornia is conversant and her family agreed to disclose her condition.
"Ang pamilya ay humihingi po ng panaangin... ipagdalsal natin na mapagtagumpayan ni Doris," Elchico said.
"The show is not the same kung wala po ang Mutya ng Masa. Alam nyo naman, 'yan kwela kahit may banat," he said.
