Vice President Leni Robredo's eldest daughter, Aika, on Saturday kicked off what is hoped to be daily house-to-house campaigning for her presidential bid, hoping to build more momentum one month before the May 9 elections.

Wearing a pink face mask, Aika Robredo shook hands with residents of Barangay Vasra, Sitio San Roque in Quezon City, accompanied by actress and vlogger Marjorie Barreto, who distributed pink baller bracelets.

Aika's younger sister Tricia earlier campaigned house-to-house in Tondo, Manila as did heartthrob Donny Pangilinan, nephew of Robredo's running mate Sen. Francis "Kiko" Pangilinan, in Dumaguete City.

Aika said she personally requested to lead house-to-house campaigns in place of big rallies.

Former senator Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr. is the frontrunner to replace outgoing President Rodrigo Duterte, based on Pulse Asia's February survey.

In March, however, Robredo has attracted tens of thousands in campaign rallies that turned streets and stadiums pink. She also secured endorsements from local officials, including the former party of rival to the presidency Sen. panfilo Lacson and supporters of Marcos' running mate, Sara Duterte.
