The pandemic has reshaped daily life for millions around the world, from wearing face masks (and face shields in the Philippines) to cashless transactions and remote work. This will continue even in the post-COVID future, Harvard experts said.
Even with the COVID-19 vaccine rollout around the world, the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) will remain in the "next normal," international PPE supplier Medtecs said.
“Vaccines, no matter what brand, don't offer hundred percent protection. So even if you already have two jabs, you still need to wear [your] PPEs especially in private places or where ventilation is poor," said Medtecs CEO and Executive Director William Yang.
The company offers these "next normal" must-haves, which can help protect people and their everyday essentials against the virus:
- Anti-viral phone case and cellphone screen protector, which have protective layers inhibiting the growth of viruses and bacteria
- Anti-viral stylus, which provides a zero-touch solution for public surface
- Ionic air purifier necklace for children and adults, combining fashion and protection and can last for 28 hours on a single charge
- Anti-viral alcohol-free spray which protects surfaces against viruses, bacteria, and molds for up to 180 days
- Anti-viral cardholder, which gives double-sided antiviral protection
Medtecs also offers disposable, anti-viral medical-grade face masks, reusable up to seven days with the same filtration sans the odor. Yang said it also offers reusable isolation gowns from its flagship line.
