Baguio City Shortens Curfew, Liquor Ban Hours

Baguio City shortened its curfew and liquor ban hours on Monday in preparation for the gradual increase of operational capacity for businesses and establishments.

An Executive Order signed by Baguio City Mayor Benjamin Magalong stated that general curfew will be from 12 a.m. to 4 a.m., except for frontliners working in medical services, uniformed personnel on duty, security services, BPOs, and export oriented industries.

Previously, curfew hours were from 10 p.m. to 4 a.m. of the next day.

The liquor ban will be from 10 p.m. to 10 a.m. of the following day. The sale, purchase, and consumption of any alcoholic beverages will only be allowed at authorized dining and accommodations establishments. Baguio City's liquor ban used to be from 8 p.m. to 10 a.m. of the next day.

For beer, wine, and cocktails, a maximum of four individual servings may be given per diner.

For liquor and distilled spirits, the following are allowed:

  • a maximum of two bottles per table shared by two or more people where the volume of the beverage does not exceed one liter
  • a maximum of one bottle per shared table of two or more people where the volume thereof exceeds one liter
  • Neither shall be served to individual diners
